Also, the district can be classified as rural (about 60% live in rural areas). Over the past few years, there has been a sharply negative trend in the demographic situation of the district – an increase in mortality (about 500 people per year). There is also a downward trend in fertility. A number of diagnostic and treatment studies are not available to residents of the area due to the lack of necessary medical equipment in the institution for their conduct, and the quality of the studies performed on existing equipment suffers, as it is physically and morally outdated and often subject to repair. The population of the district receives the missing spectrum of medical services and research in various cities (the city of Baranavichi, the city of Brest, etc.) in both the region and the republic. However, not all patients can (want) go to other cities to the necessary number of studies (for example, the elderly, lonely, disabled, etc.).
