Restoration of the memorial complex of the partisan glory «Khovanshchina» – The development of military-historical tourism and the formation of interest among visitors to the military-historical past of Belarus

Humanitarian project of state institution “Ivatsevichi Local History Museum” of the department of ideological work, culture and youth affairs of the Ivatsevichi district executive committee of  Brest region is looking for sponsors


   
 

The goal of the project: the development of military history tourism, the patriotic education of children and young people and the formation of interest in the history of their native land on the basis of the memorial complex of partisan glory “Khovanshchina”.

 

1.     Name of the project: restoration of the memorial complex of the partisan glory “Khovanshchina”
2.     Project implementation period: 18 months
3.     Organization, which offers a project: the state cultural institution “Ivatsevichi Local History Museum” of the department of ideological work, culture and youth affairs of the Ivatsevichi district executive committee
4.     The aim of the project: the development of military-historical tourism and the formation of interest among visitors to the military-historical past of Belarus on the basis of the memorial complex of partisan glory “Khovanshchina”
5.     Tasks to be realized while the implementation:

¾   construction of dugouts;

¾   reconstruction of wooden structures (4 houses);

¾   reconstruction of the forest school;

¾   overhaul of the bridge;

¾   the acquisition of the house “Guerrilla communication”;
6.     Task group: school children of 6-18 years old; youth, students 18-25 years old; adults 26–64 years old; elderly people, retired 65 years and older
7. Brief description of the events within the framerwork of the  project :

Replacement of concrete supports and metal structures of the bridge, repair of wooden bridge deck, installation of double-sided railing; reconstruction of wooden structures (houses): replacement of log walls, replacement of roof lathing and roofing, repair of furnaces; construction of dugouts; restoration of school desks; updating and addition of the exhibition with objects of museum value (exhibits)
